In our series How Did You Meet?, local couples tell us how they first hooked up.
Rachel and Roscoe love to explore Los Angeles on scooters—but it was a reptile rather than a Bird that brought them together.
Rachel was in her backyard attempting to balance her three-foot-long pet lizard on her friend’s feet as her friend did a headstand (as people do). From their balcony, the guys next door noticed the acrobatics act and summoned their friend Roscoe to come check it out.
“[My friend] told us there were some cuties,” Roscoe, an actor, explains. “When I came to the balcony to check it out, I saw Rachel trying to balance a lizard on her friends feet.”
Rachel recalls, “They asked what we were doing and it ended up turning into a big party. We hit it off and have been together over a year now.” All thanks to a lizard named Marvin.
