Michelin-starred San Francisco chef Melissa Perello comes to ROW DTLA this month. The ambitious, 133-seat, 4,200-square-foot restaurant—Perello’s first outside the Bay Area—will feature market-driven, elevated California cuisine; live-fire cooking; and patio

A complex with three casual restaurants brings sushi hand rolls, fresh pastas, and grass-fed Wagyu burgers to a stretch of Wilshire Boulevard in need of more dining options. Border Grill owner-chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken expand their empire with a 99-seat indoor-outdoor Mexican gastropub in the Gateway Hotel. The all-day affair will serve chilaquiles and house-made granolas for breakfast and a Baja seafood platter, steak arrachera, and plenty of cocktails and craft Mexican beers for lunch and dinner. 1920 Santa Monica Blvd., Santa Monica.
